FILM CLUB SCREENING -  Manoj Kumar Retrospective - Purab Aur Paschim(1970) Dir:Manoj Kumar.The screening will be followed by an interaction with the director.  A part of an Indian family settles abroad in the UK and gets westernised. Bharat helps them realise that one should not forget one's roots or look down on one's culture.The screening will be followed by an interaction with the director.

Cavite is an ultra low budget (reportedly $7000) film from the Philippines which uses the thriller genre to explore issues of terrorism, religion, emigration, inequality and many others. Shot on Digital Video, the film is an  in an example of guerrilla-type film-making. Delhi-based cinephile Dhananjay Kapse will introduce the film.
