FILM CLUB SCREENING - Fly By Rocinante (Bulgaria/Serbia/Austria/2007/ 84mins) Dir. Jacky Stoev. Fly by Rocinante is a musical incorporating opera and silent movies elements. It is a story about a group of Bulgarian musicians, touring Europe on an old bus called “Rocinante”. They are led by their director and conductor, the Maestro. The film comprises seven intertwined stories revealing the complicated relations between the members of the musical group. While traveling the musicians play and sing mixing opera motives and Balkan folklore rhythms.
