Film Discussion Group meets for the screening and discussion of the Bosnian born Yougoslavian director Emir Kusturica's Black Cat, White Cat (1998) [128 mins]. Film Scholar Madan Gopal Singh will introduce the film and facilitate the discussion. Kenneth Turan of Los Angeles Times says it is "a raucous and exuberant mixture of magical realism." Kusturica won the Silver Lion Award for Best Director at the Venice Film Festival (1998) for this film.
