Habitat Film Club Discussion Group meets for the screening and discussion of the much acclaimed film Orlando (1993) (92 mins.) by Sally Potter.  Adapted from Virginia Woolf’s novel the film has won 25 International awards and won 2 Oscar nominations.  The film will be introduced by film scholar Shohini Ghosh who will also facilitate the discussion of the film after the screening.

Film & Discussion- “Badger”  is based on short story  by Jug Suraiya which focuses on a disciplinary act by a school teacher which compels him to question his own moral compass.  A reading of the short story will be followed by the screening of the film and a panel discussion chaired by Dileep Padgaonkar.

Puppet Theatre- Ishara Puppet Theatre Trust  presents “Journey’s” .  After the successful premier show at the Ishara Puppet Theatre Festival September 2002, at the Habitat Centre, The Ishara Puppet Theatre repeats Journey’s, inspired by Violetta Parras “Thanks to Life”.  The performance is a visual theatre piece with puppets, masks, actors and dancers.  Dir: Dadi Pudumjee.  Sound, Design and Music by Sawan Dutta.
