Prism Gallery Joie Open Palm Court Gallery 27th - 31st August 2008 Gallery Joie presented a group show titled â€œPrismâ€ at the Open Palm Court Gallery from August 27-31, 2008. The artists participating were Devidas B Dharmadhikari, Krishnendu Porel and Sanjib Singha. Devidas has worked on the concept that an individual gains different labels (stamps) from the society. Will a human being be successful in evaluating himself through the different labels that he gets from the society or does he have to look deep into himself to get the answer. This is what the artist tried to depict through his paintings. Krishnenduâ€™s forte lies in the evoking of rthymical beauty within the pervading silence of architectural trajectories. In sanjibâ€™s paintings we are once again attuned to pristine nature â€“ a nature which has been banished from the consciousness of civilized man.

Poonam & Pratap Kohli Jal Tarang Open Palm Court Gallery 13th - 18th August 2008 Poonam & Pratap Kohli presented â€œJal Tarangâ€, an exhibition of paintings and sculptures at the Open Palm Court Gallery from 13-18 August 2008. Ms.Shallu Jindal, president of Openspace Jindal Foundation and Development inaugurated the show. Shri Ram.V. Sutar, Padamshree award winner was a special invitee. Poonam has done her BFA from College of Art, New Delhi. Pratap is a graduate from Delhi University and is a self taught artist. He has done many assignments with residence and offices in India and abroad. He also received Artist Residency Fellowship Award by Global Art Village in the year 2007.

Open Palm Court(19 To 26 August 2008)

The Spice of Life Group Show Open Palm Court Gallery 19th - 26th August 2008 A group of five young artists presented an exhibition of paintings and sculptures titled â€œ The Spice of Lifeâ€. The participating artists were Dr.Dolly Prasad, Rohit Sharma, Sangeeta Sharma, Sher Singh and Suchit Sahni. Art critic Keshav Malik inaugurated the show. In this group of artists, each is trying in his /her own way to quicken our life responses. They are also trying and testing themselves and their mettle. The show emphasizes that art can come in all forms, all mental constructions, and some of it stemming from social life. These artists attempted to make time- bound material into the timeless.

Judith Sangeeta Kujur Colourscape Open Palm Court Gallery 6th - 7th August 2008 Judith Sangeeta Kujur presented a solo exhibition of paintings in water and oil at the Open Palm Court Gallery from 6-7 August 2008. The show was titled â€œ Colourscapeâ€. A product of NIFT Delhi, the collage of Judith Kujurâ€™s works is a quest for beauty in forms, faces, and people around her. Her mixed media paintings are personal creative attempts to answer questions, resolve inner conflicts and express overwhelming emotions. Her forms metamorphoses with the background to express an vision of coming together. Judith is at present teaching Design in Shilong.

Krishnendu Chatterjee Explore Unexplored (Photography Exhibition) Open Palm Court Gallery 8-12 August 2008 Krishnendu Chatterjee presented a photography exhibition at the Open Palm Court Gallery from 8-12 August 2008. Krishnenduâ€™s work transcends from simplicity to abstract. Krishnendu is born and brought up in artistic city of Durgapur. Hailing from a culturally enriched Bengali background, he has walked 17 years on the roads of advertising as a creative person. But his true love and his forte, photography made him swipe a decade without a blink and are still moving. What started as a hobby today has turned into a passion, more than a profession for him. He lives in Delhi and works from his own studio.

Odyssey Art Panache (Group Show) Open Palm Court Gallery 1st - 4th August 2008 Art Panache presented a group show of contemporary art titledâ€œOdysseyâ€ at the Open Palm Court Gallery from 1-4 August 2008. The show brought together 26 different artist some emerging and others well established, from diverse backgrounds and regions, but each one of them unique in their blend of style, medium, technique and theme. Each work of art that has been showcased is a reflection of the artistâ€™s journey of life. The participating artist were Amit Dutt, Anunaya Chaubey, Biplab Biswas, Biplab Sarkar, Dalip Chandolia, Deepa Vedpathak, Dhiraj Chaudhary, Gopal Namjoshi, Indu Tripathy, Jagdish Dey, Jiaur Rahman, Lalit Maity, Laxman Aelay, Madan Lal, Manoj Kachengal, Manoj Mitra, Meenakshi J Banerjee, Nagesh Goud, Niren Sengupta, Puja Bahri, Reena Y.Ramakrishnan, Roop Chand, S.Harshavardhana, Sachin Jaltare, Sarita Agarwal and Sukanta Das. Art Panache is a platform for showcasing the works of established and upcoming artists, from all over the country for art lovers in Gurgaon and Delhi.
