  Some actors are always in public memory though they choose to stay away from the lights and camera. Deepti Naval has been one among them. A multifaceted artiste, actor, poet and painter, Deepti has always won the hearts of her audiences, and though away is never away from the limelight.

Film Discussion Group meets for the Screening and Discussion of an unusually beautiful Armenian film - Sergei Paradjanov's "The Color of Pomegranates" (1969) (80 mins.). Also known as "Red Pomegranate" and/or "Sayat Nova," it was censored by Soviet officials and banned until 1972. Sergei Paradjanov's lavish film follows 18th-century Armenian poet Sayat Nov's incredible life, from carpet weaver's apprentice to archbishop to martyr. FILM SCHOLAR RASHMI DORAISWAMY WILL INTRODUCE THE FILM AND CO-ORDINATE THE DISCUSSION.
