The Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India, vide their notification No. S.O. 141, published in the Gazette of India, Extra Ordinary, Part II, Section-3, Sub-Section (ii) dated 7th February, 07 has notified Master Plan for Delhi 2021 with the perspective for the year 2021. MPD 2021 is an extensive modification of the Master Plan with the perspective for the year 2001 along with all the amendments carried out till date. MPD 2021 has came into effect from 7.02.07. Full text of the Master Plan of Delhi with the perspective for the year 2021 is given in this book.

In the tracks of the Mahatma: the making of a documentary / Chettiar, A. K. New Delhi: Orient Longman, 2007

   

This book is the story of the making of this documentary in the words of the man who achieved this stupendous task. In 1937, a 26-year old Indian aboard a ship sailing from New York to Dublin, decided to make a documentary on the life of Mahatma Gandhi. Over the next few years he traveled some 10, 000 miles collecting 50, 000 feet of film footage, with the expectation and then the outbreak of the Second World War jeopardizing his research. In 1940, he edited this into a 12, 000 feet documentary, It was released with Tamil commentary, and shortly after, with a Telugu voice-over.

The Holocaust of Indian partition: an inquest / Madhav Godbole. --New Delhi: Rupa, 2006

  

The book surveys the critical eighteen-month period preceding the transfer of power which saw widespread communal hatred and violence. The poison of communalism had seeped so deep that it should have been evident to anyone that transfer of power was not going to be peaceful. But, the British and the leaders of the two would be dominions -India and Pakistan-failed to see this writing on the wall. The book vividly brings out the holocaust, makes a clinical and through inquest, and concludes that, with foresight and planning, its extent and severity could have been reduced substantially.
