Every Tuesday, India Habitat Centre resounds with some fine English poetry by contemporary Indian poets. Titled ‘Tuesday Nite is Poetree Nite’ the poetry evenings are held at the Palm Court Conference in collaboration with Amit Dahiya. This is a unique way to initiative to nurture Delhi’s poetic vein back to life. “We wanted to hold weekly poetry night for the empowerment of Delhi’s living treasury of contemporary poets writing in the English language,” says Dahiya. He is poet laureate of the Senior Environment Corps CIP-G, Town Philadelphia P.A. US, and poet in residence of the Global Constitution Forum, Philadelphia.
