| "urban
art... is art in an urban space. Art that gets influenced by the
space and then influences the space to become a part of the habitat."
Starting
1st Nov. 2001, architect and muralist Rahul Backliwal will, over
a period of four months create a series of backlit glass installations
to aesthetically tie up the various outdoor spaces at the idia
habitat centre (atrium) and transform the plaza into a giant outdoor
canvas.
Besides
lending a visual identity to the space in the day, the exhibits
will transform into glowing backlit forms at night - completely
changing the visual impact of the installation.
Rahul
Backliwal & Visual Arts Gallery present an urban art project
at the INdia Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
