Winner of the Photography Fellowship:

Neeraj Mahajan

Neeraj is a 33-year-old Hotel Management graduate who assisted ace Pradeep Dasgupta from 1998 - 2001. He specializes in people, food and industrial photography. His project is “Fading Clouds”.

Special Commendations for Eye in Progress:

Apoorva Guptay

Apoorva Guptay is 23-year-old graduate in Applied Arts. He is currently working as a staff photographer for a Mumbai fortnightly magazine, Time Out. His photo-essay “Man – City – Garden: Portrait of Horniman Circle” has won the special commendation.

Deepak John Mathew

Deepak John Mathew is 36-year-old research scholar and coordinator Photography Department, National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. His project “Urban Village: A visual enquiry into the cultural transition in city life” has won the special commendation.

Please note: The awards will be given away at our Annual Arts Evening on 19th November 2006 at the Amphitheatre, IHC, from 6.30pm onwards, in the presence of our Guest of Honor - Mr Shyam Benegal.
