Society for Child Development organizes a group show including works by Neeraj Bakshi, Sudip Roy, Anupam Sud among other well-known artists. The show has been designed by Dharmendra Rathore and will be inaugurated by Dr Ashok K Chauhan, Founder-President, Amity Group.  
   
   
  5th – 7th November

“The Warp and Weft of Perception” is a solo exhibition by Shalini Passi, who has trained under the powerful colourist Bishamber Khanna and the Triveni Kala Sangam.  
   
   
  8th – 14th November

A solo exhibition of abstract expressionistic works in mixed media by Brinda Chudasama Miller. "Today art is commercialized, but even so, it is far more personal and satisfying…I always wait for my paintings to surprise me," she says describing her work. Her first exhibition being a complete sell out was an inspiration for Brinda and she decided to take painting up as a profession and studied drawing and painting at the Parsons School of Design, New York.  
         
  15th – 23rd November

“The Cosmic Matrix” is an exhibition by Satish Gupta. His works of art in mixed media were inspired by Gupta’s experiences in places of worship over the years. "I can't work with all sorts of rules and regulations. Through the years, I have constantly demolished rules," says the artist. Most of Gupta's works are gigantic. Like his etchings on canvas for which he uses the print making process, a time consuming process, with each print taking days to complete.  
         
  27th – 30th November

Prem Singh presents an exhibition of his paintings inspired by nature. Done over a period of five years, using oil, ink, acrylics and dry pastels, the paintings depict a visual dialogue between the manifest and the un-manifest in Nature.

Cancer Patients Aid Association presents ‘Colors Of Life’, a fund-raising exhibition aimed towards adding color to the lives of children afflicted with cancer.  
         
  10th-14th November

An exhibition of works of art by A V Ilango. "Painting, it is my journey through the canvas," says this mathematician turned artist. Ilango hails from Gobichettipalayam, Tamil Nadu. He completed his post graduation in Mathematics, in Bangalore University during the year 1973. Though he studied mathematics, his interests lie in folklore temple art and architecture of Tamil Nadu. He is currently working as a professor of Maths and a freelance artist in Chennai.

An exhibition of mixed media works by Satish Gupta. This is part of the exhibition being held at the Visual Arts Gallery simultaneously.  
         
  24th-25th November   Colour Maths, a children’s drawing studio, presents an exhibition of art works by members between the age group of 3 – 17 years.  
         
  26th-30th November   Gallery Sanskriti presents an exhibition of drawing and watercolor by Society of Contemporary Artists comprising of artists like Bikash Bhattacharjee, Ganesh Haloi, Lalu Prasad Shaw, Sunil Das and Aditya Basak.

  11th November   Utsav Lal presents a “Piano evening under the Stars” at the IHC Amphitheatre at 7 p.m. Piano melodies dedicated to the virtuoso the Late Mohd Rafi, the renowned singer who was a powerhouse of amazing versatility. Groomed under noted pianists, Brian Silas and John Raphael, Utsav, 13, is one of India’s youngest concert pianist. He has been performing live for over two years.  
         
      Enjoy the Rafi hits of yester year heroes: Evergreen Dev, Thespian Dilip Kumar, Junglee Shammi Kapoor, Jubilee hero Rajendra Kumar, Tragic Bharat Bhusan skillfully presented by young Utsav on the acoustic piano.

‘Paint Your Canvas’ - Join us for a unique creative experience in oil painting with artist Kavita Jaiswal. She will be taking oil painting classes starting 5th November, 2005 to 28th January, 2006.
Venue: Amphitheatre, IHC

Timings:
Fridays- 11am to 1pm
Saturday- 2pm to 4pm

Classes open to IHC members only.
The first 10 classes will be conducted free of cost.
Limited seats on first come, first serve basis.
