Visual Arts Gallery presents 'A Woman changes Seven Keys', an exhibition of collages by Ariane Gray Hubert. A Franco - American artist, Ariane is a pioneer in creating music and blending the sound and vision of women composers and artists of the 21st century. She has further developed a new niche of music and visual platform that ties India, America and Europe in a new musical identity. The artist presents this platform including a musical journey called "Piano Rag(a) Time" and an exhibition of her collages based on her reflections of a woman crossing Eastern and Western traditions in a captivating way. | ||

Actress, singer and painter Suchitra Krishnamoorthi presents an exhibition of her paintings at the Visual Arts Gallery starting April 5, 2006. Her debut exhibition of paintings and poetry was held at the museum gallery Kala Ghoda, Mumbai, on 25 July 2005. The underlying theme of all her art is 'faith'. Suchitra is married to filmmaker Shekhar Kapur and lives in Mumbai with her daughter Kaveri. | ||

Artists from across the country will initiate a fabric of togetherness by joining hands with the papermakers of the Society for Child Development in a unique exhibition of works on paper. Artists include names like Suhas Roy, Jogen Chowdhury, Anjolie Ela Menon, Jatin Das, and Yusuf Arakkal among others. The organization reaches out to people and seeks their active support in enhancing opportunities for children and young adults with intellectual and cognitive disabilities. | ||

Nilanjan Das canvasses every possible human emotion from spiritualism to lust in his new series of artworks. By using minimalistic and monochromatic shades of maroon, gold and charcoal, his works echo the drama in the sixth sense. - | Visual Arts Gallery will present "Monomyth: Sculpture and Painting by Joe Demetro". The exhibit will include a slide lecture on 14th April. Joe Demetro is an American artist living and working in Mussoorie, India, for the past five years. He has participated in several group shows in Delhi, including Delhi Blue Pottery's 2004 Peace and Harmony exhibit as well as Singular Identities, both held at the India Habitat Centre. | ||

- | "Fifty years of Ratan Parimoo's Paintings" is an exhibition of works presented by the artist in collaboration with the India Habitat Centre. Born in Kashmir in 1936, Prof Parimoo was one of the youngest painters to respond to the 'abstract style' of the first modernist movements of the country after Independence. He has been a life-long teacher of art history and aesthetics and was awarded the Jawaharlal Nehru Fellowship and the Gaurav Puraskar by the Gujarat State Lalit Kala Akademi. | ||

"The Magnificiant One" is an exhibition showcasing 25 paintings by Amita Abbi Prashant. Amita is a Hyderabad-based artist trained in garment technology and textiles followed by schooling in Fine Arts from Madras. Her paintings are an appropriation of illustrated narratives, reminiscing Lichtenstein's homage to contemporary culture. | ||

Bishwadip Moitra, executive editor and art director Outlook Group in collaboration with the India Habitat Centre, presents a photo exhibition on Ghana’s ethnic life - most of which is unseen in India. The show is part of IHC’s new initiative ‘Creative Latitudes’, a program which foregrounds the alternate passions of an individual/s. Biswadip travelled the length and breadth of the country and as a result of his journey to Ghana presents a body of work which reflects his own personal journey. The representation of the images would also be part of the initiation of a cross cultural dialogue between two nations who share a complex living history. | ||

Art Positive presents a group show on Indian contemporary art that reflects positivity and takes us to a higher level of consciousness. The show includes over 50 works by 25 of India’s well known artists including T. Embassy of Brazil in collaboration with the India Habitat Centre presents works by André Santangelo who represents the contemporary art production of Brazil. The Visual Arts Gallery at the India Habitat Centre, offers a platter of art forms in its menu for an art appreciation course “Looking at Art ” starting March 7, 2006. “Looking at Art ” aims to increase your appreciation and understanding of visual culture including painting, photography and sculptures. It will look at masters both in India and abroad. It will also consider differences in style, in genre, in medium and form. A wide range of works from the medieval to the present day will be presented. You will learn from a series of 20 lectures which will include the use of slides and video.
