Anant Art Gallery presents a group show by renowned artists. The gallery has been presenting and curating shows over the last three years. Some of their scintillating shows include a photography exhibition titled the “Middle Age Spread” held in July 2004 in collaboration with the IGNCA, "Ritu: A Gathering of Seasons", a landmark exhibition curated by Prof. B N Goswamy and "Negotiating Matters" curated by Roobina Karode in 2005. | ||

Pratima Naithani holds a solo exhibition of her photographs at the Visual Arts Gallery. Pratima is a New York-based photographer and has participated in many groups shows including “Fatal Love”, an exhibition that featured works by 28 emerging and established American artists of South Asian descent, and “Erasing Borders: Passport to Contemporary Indian Art of the Diaspora” in New York. | ||

The European Union organizes an art exhibition showcasing works of European artists. EU-India relations go back to the early 1960s. India was among the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with the (then) EEC. The 1994 cooperation agreement signed between EU and India took bilateral relations beyond merely trade and economic cooperation. The current exhibition is an attempt to forge cultural ties between the two. | ||

- | Visual Arts Gallery presents ‘A Woman changes Seven Keys’, an exhibition of collages by Ariane Gray Hubert. A Franco - American artist, Ariane is a pioneer in creating music and blending the sound and vision of women composers and artists of the 21st century. She has further developed a new niche of music and visual platform that ties India, America and Europe in a new musical identity. The artist presents this platform including a musical journey called “Piano Rag(a) Time” and an exhibition of her collages based on her reflections of a woman crossing Eastern and Western traditions in a captivating way. | ||

"Cowboys & India: The Watercolors of William Mathews featuring images of the American West and Rajasthan." The show is brought to you by the US Embassy in collaboration with the India Habitat Centre. Dipto Narayan Chatterjee, an alumni of Rabindra Bharti University, Kolkata, presents ‘Expressions Dipto’, a solo exhibition of his paintings that reflect his nostalgia for feelings, experiences, relationships and happenings gone past. “Paintings appear to me as a manifestation of life itself,” says the artist who has exhibited his works extensively in India and abroad. | ||

‘Say No More Tsunami, Sea is Beautiful, Enjoy It’. This is an exhibition of works by Dhananjoy, an artist who creates structural uniformity on canvas through a play of light and shade. His solo show is a judicious mix of images of Lord Krishan and his gopis who are depicted as mermaids and seascapes. | ||

The Visual Arts Gallery at the India Habitat Centre, offers a platter of art forms in its menu for an art appreciation course “Looking at Art ” starting March 7, 2006. “Looking at Art ” aims to increase your appreciation and understanding of visual culture including painting, photography and sculptures. It will look at masters both in India and abroad. It will also consider differences in style, in genre, in medium and form. A wide range of works from the medieval to the present day will be presented. You will learn from a series of 20 lectures which will include the use of slides and video.
