In an effort to promote traditional Indian crafts, the Delhi Crafts Council organizes a crafts exhibition. The council is part of a movement towards revitalization and promotion of traditional Indian crafts. A registered, voluntary, non-profit organisation it was founded in 1967 by the late Smt. Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay.

Apparao Galleries organize a group show at the IHC. Apparao Gallery is one of the oldest and better known upmarket galleries in Chennai. Founded by Sharan Apparao, the gallery was established in the early eighties to promote contemporary Indian art. It has expanded its activities worldwide to meet the growing needs of artists and collectors.

Chawla Art Gallery presents a solo show of figurative and landscape paintings by artist Asit Kr. Patnaik. Patnaik, who received a gold medal for his Masters in Fine Arts (Painting) from the Benaras Hindu University, Varanasi, has held many award winning shows all over the country.

‘Paint Your Canvas’ - Join us for a unique creative experience in oil painting with artist Kavita Jaiswal. She will be taking oil painting classes starting 2nd December, 2005 to 4th February, 2006.

Classes open to IHC members only.
The first 10 classes will be conducted free of cost.
